چکیده
Melt electrowriting produces complex polymeric microstructures by controlling electrified polymer jet deposition. This work explores the potential of designing poly(ϵ-caprolactone) MEW with thermochromic responses. Samples up to 4 wt % dye content fibers 20.7 ± 0.9 μm have been processed without compromising printing quality. small amount filler results in desired active response color change at a certain temperature. A multimaterial structure combining two dyes different activation temperatures was also designed. Overall, ability include additives process significant disruption expands technology applicability.

Poly(ε-caprolactone) Scaffolds Fabricated by Melt Electrospinning for Bone Tissue Engineering
Melt electrospinning is a promising approach to manufacture biocompatible scaffolds for tissue engineering. In this study, melt electrospinning of poly(ε-caprolactone) onto structured, metallic collectors resulted in scaffolds with an average pore size of 250-300 μm and an average fibre diameter of 15 μm. Scaffolds were seeded with ovine osteoblasts in vitro. Cell proliferation and deposition o...

It has been suggested that prevention and treatment of osteomyelitis could be achieved through local drug delivery using implantable devices, which provide therapeutic levels at the infection site with minimum side-effects. Physical blends of polycaprolactone (PCL) and poloxamine (Tetronic®) were prepared by applying a solvent-free hot melting approach to obtain cytocompatible implants with a t...
متن کاملSurface Modification of Melt Extruded Poly(ε-caprolactone) Nanofibers: Toward a New Scalable Biomaterial Scaffold
A photochemical modification of melt-extruded polymeric nanofibers is described. A bioorthogonal functional group is used to decorate fibers made exclusively from commodity polymers, covalently attach fluorophores and peptides, and direct cell growth. Our process begins by using a layered coextrusion method, where poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) nanofibers are incorporated within a macroscopic poly(...

Microstructures, crystallographic textures, and mechanical properties have been investigated in commercial titanium alloy strips and foils processed via the melt overflow rapid solidification technology (MORST) technique. The direct cast (DC) foils were fully dense and exhibited equiaxed transformed grain structures and weak {112( 0}//normal direction solidification textures. After cold rolling...
